Where does the time go?

Time is just flying by!  Not sure where it goes.  I can hardly believe it is almost the end of April!  Wasn't it JUST Christmas?

We've just been up to the usual.  Playing with friends..........
This little friend will have 3! little brothers in just a few months.

We are working on JR's room. We are finished painting now, but here's how I spent an entire Friday:
Just a few more touches and it will be ready for a blog post!

ML and I got to go out to dinner while JR and Big Daddy were at Indian Guides Spring Longhouse.  Yummy!

ML also had a fantastic time at a friend's birthday party.

Leah and I crafted some adorable 'month' shirts for the triplets (younger brothers of the adorable little boy way above.)

Once the painting was done, it was time to move JR's furniture upstairs.  I couldn't quite remember how we got this chair in his room though.  So I had to text this picture to Big Daddy, asking for help! :-)

The Saturday before the triplet's baby shower, Leah came over and we crafted for nearly 4 hours!  Never done that before, but It was soooooo much fun.

Still beautiful weather!

So much to be thankful for!

Fun

ML found these pictures on my phone today. I had totally forgotten about them!

On our way to dinner one night, with my inlaws in Florida, ML and I sat in the way back of their rented minivan. ML took my phone and turned the camera around. Then we took a picture and she started suggesting 'poses.'

So silly! The girl cracks me up! Happy Weekend!

Easter

Well, our Easter was a great, relaxing day! I took (or attempted to take) some pictures of the kids before church.

So sweet one moment:

Then way too cool the next.

This was the best I could do with both of them.

ML wore a dress my mom made for her.

So beautiful.

After church it was time to egg hunt at Grandma and Papa's.

Mr. Mess had eaten 4 of his eggs on Friday, so he found his 8 pretty quickly, then went up on the deck to observe the rest running around.

Cousin photo.

Then family photos:

And one that shows our true personalities. Ha!

We ended with a great dinner with our wonderful friends at our house. A fantastic weekend!

Springtime

It's been an Easter-y few days for us! On Friday, I went to ML's school Easter egg hunt and party.

Here's ML and one of her best friends this year. I was so nervous about being at a new school for just one year, but God has blessed ML with so many (much prayed for) friends! It has been such an awesome year!

After a quick Easter party lunch, we headed right over to JR's school where they were dedicating the land for the new school building that will start construction this summer. It was a great event (read: short, but sweet :-) with all sorts of Congressmen and dignitaries there.

It culminated in the revealing of the large sign along the street with the front design of the school.

As soon as we were finished there, we headed up to my parent's house to dye Easter eggs with my nieces. My mom's playhouse/ potting shed, looks so adorable right now!

My mom is slowly turning it into a potting shed because my nieces don't play in there as often now that they have the treehouse/ fort. So I was so glad to see ML and my niece tying on their aprons to 'cook' in the playhouse!

Soon it was time to dye eggs.

I don't know what face JR is making. Mess.

Right after we finished the eggs we had to rush off to batting practice and JR's tournament game. We lost that game by 1 point, which was hard, but at the same time - it meant we didn't have to sit at the ballpark all day today. Find that silver lining right?!

So tonight, we were lucky because the B. family won their tournament and they were able to come over for dinner. We haven't seen them in so long. Isn't having friends where you can just pick up like you just saw each other 10 minutes ago the best? We are so blessed.

We had a little egg hunt:

They just could NOT find this yellow/ brown egg. It cracked us all up! It was so obvious to us, but so hard to find to them!

After the kids were asleep, the Easter bunny visited.

Happiest Easters to you & yours!

Catching Up {again}

I've been putting off blogging for a while now, but I know I'll want to document some fun Easter things and I know I'll kick myself later if I don't write down the rest of our Spring Break, so here goes!

Big Daddy finally joined us at the beach! We had to drive over to Orlando to pick him up, so we decided to put our annual passes to good use and make a visit to the Disney parks.

It never gets old, driving through the gates!

We decided that we wanted to try the new Dumbo and Barnstormer, so we headed to the Magic Kingdom.

The new Dumbo was beautiful!

And we loved the Barnstormer as much as usual.

Exactly one year ago, JR bought his dinosaur at TRex in Downtown Disney, so JR decided we should celebrate Dino's birthday. We picked up a birthday button for Dino before leaving the Magic Kingdom and heading to TRex for a birthday lunch.

T Rex isn't my favorite, but the kids loved it!

Soon enough we were back at the beach.....

And after some hours soaking up the sun and some really nice lunches and dinners.......

It was time to head back to Disney for one last day with our soon-to-expire annual passes. We saw the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot-

And Mr. and Mrs. Bunny at the MK (out only at Easter) -

Watched Wishes one last time....

And headed back to our hotel on the boats........

(such a perfect end of a Disney day picture! :-)

And then it was time to start the long drive home. Big Daddy did most of the driving and we took one little detour (on a whim) to see a historical marker - where Jefferson Davis was captured in Georgia.

It was a neat little stop, but a little weird in that the whole tiny Georgia town was there for an Easter Egg Hunt, so the museum itself was deserted and we had to kind of walk through the middle of the egg hunting field to get to the monument. Ha!

All in all, it was the best week. So thankful for all these blessings!
