End of the School Year

We had lots of fun end of the school year events.  

I made the kids a special last day of school breakfast:

The last day of school for us is always "Awards Day"  Some are given in the classroom:

We had a field trip:

And it was (finally!) the end of baseball season.  Our first year of kid pitch in the books!

 As a devoted Cubs fan, do you know how hard it was for me to let my kid wear that ugly uniform, much less make these cupcake toppers?  :-)

 It's ok, at least we've won 2 in the Crosstown classic!

 Next to last day of school trip to the park with a Pizza lunch!  Last 'party' of the school year!

Last game was actually after our party - went out with a W!

 Spend the night friends.  Thumbs up for Summer Break!

ML's (first ever?) School Birthday Party

Poor ML.  Second child.  Summer birthday.  

When I called ML's teacher to schedule her "un" birthday party before the end of the school year, I told her it might be ML's first ever school party.

ML didn't request anything fancy (their school doesn't really allow fancy.)  Just a cookie cake with her name on it in Auburn colors.  (That's my girl!  War Eagle! :-)

Sweet, sweet friends.

ML's teacher gave her so many special birthday treats.  This was absolutely ML's favorite part.  She told me for DAYS ahead of time about the 'birthday bucket'!
